We are one people on one planet. Humanity’s only homeland--the Earth!
It is through the balanced combination and cooperation of science and religion that humanity can be allowed to acquire a genuine humility and respect for Nature while applying the appropriate skills and technologies needed to advance civilization. In terms of both our spiritual growth and our common dependence on the ecosphere, we are called to be, fully and consciously, citizens of one Earth home. Our total dependence on the encompassing ecosphere reflects and reinforces our dependence on God.
An attitude of awe and gratitude towards the earth is part of attaining spiritual humility.
“Every man of discernment, while walking upon the earth, feeleth indeed abashed, inasmuch as he is fully aware that the thing which is the source of his prosperity, his wealth, his might, his exaltation, his advancement and power is, as ordained by God, the very earth which is trodden beneath the feet of all men. There can be no doubt that whoever is cognizant of this truth, is cleansed and sanctified from all pride, arrogance, and vainglory.”- Bahá’u’lláh

Annual Community Picnic - August 8, 2021
It was a beautiful, sunny day and thanks to technology a change of venue was no hindrance to a good turn-out. A good time was enjoyed by all.
Ayyám-i-Há, 2021—
During Ayyám-i-Há, Bahá’ís show hospitality and provide good cheer for themselves, their families and friends; perform charitable work to benefit the poor and needy. Ayyám-i-Há is a time to show our love for God by extending universal love, consideration and generosity to all His creatures.
This year we held a treasure hunt for the children on Saturday, February 27th and we collected food items for The Food Bank and warm clothing socks/mittens for the Helping Hands shelter.
Warmest love and joy - Happy Ayyám-i-Há
Commemoration of the Births of the Báb and Bahá'u'lláh:
On October 18 & 19 the Bahá’ís of Squamish and around the world commemorated the births of Bahá'u'lláh-1817 and the Báb-1819. Using the virtual technology available, the Squamish community was treated to two uplifting and reverential presentations that illumined the inception of the New Age for humanity under the banner of Bahá. The community’s children had the opportunity to sing along to a song for humanity and show off their creativeness as the pictures below illustrate.
Ridvan April 20, 2020 For Ridvan, we wanted to do something special that would be a physical reminder of the love the assembly had for the community.
On the first day of Ridvan, we delivered a single rose with a card attached to each adult believer and a small rock with paint supplies for each of the children in the community.
